I haven't had any work units to process in ages. Is everyone else in the same boat?

Yes, that seems to be normal for this project. Give it a day or two and I imagine more work will be available.

They are going in spurts with work available and nothing for awhile. When they had the 300,000 WUs they were sucked up within a few hours.

I recommend connect to other projects and when work from here comes then you can do it.

You just need to set "Resource share" to "0", than you have ab back-up project.
If the main project donĀ“t have any tasks and the client runs out of unit you will get some tasks from the back-up project. (It only works with the lastest client!)
(You should use an project like Enigma; not climateprediction. ;))

Greetings!!

The 5-day limit is GREAT!
I love it.

(( Let there be more than one 'seen' cruncher who wants shorter times))

[start soapbox]
While I'm at it, I'll go ahead and stand on another soapbox.
I recommend setting the network usage - work buffers to 0.1.
BOINC will keep your CPUs busy.
You can 'allow work' for a set of projects if you want to fine tune.

With smaller day-limits there will be less hoarding and more
cpus actively crunching the WU.

This is one reason I choose Malaria control and FIND@home over SETI.
Many times I see hundreds of WU sent to clients where they sit for 6
weeks and then time out.

[end soapbox]

Thanks again for the shorter limits!!!!

Jay
