I was in London without my computer and I've been busy this week. I'll promise you more tasks tomorrow.

Did we burn through all 57 million WUs or did we just use up what portion of those had been added to the database? No new work is coming through. What few tasks I am getting are ones that were not returned by the deadlines by the previous owners.

While 57M is a lot of WUs, they are relatively pretty short.
I've not been getting any WUs, for about half a day now... do we need to wait for more to be generated?
Thanks.

Yep me too I registered today and my boinc logs say:

27-Sep-2015 13:53:14 [FiND@Home] Project has no tasks available

I think that the various processes which prepare work ready for us to collect can't fully keep up with demand. Some of the time, we all get that 'no tasks available', but 10 seconds later work can be allocated - it's an unpredictable and inexact process, and work tends to be downloaded in clumps - at times today, I've received up to 40 tasks at a time. So work is still available, if you're prepared to be patient.

Note: this 'clumpiness' is because of a BOINC process called the 'feeder' - it's normal, and nothing for the scientists to worry about.

Sometimes you don't have any task because my task database is empty so I have to fill it again. I did that because I didn't wanted to put 57M WUs in my database, in case of a bug.

I have a great news regarding the 57M WUs. You guys did 47M tasks already, I have 10M WUs remaining :)

Ok, the project is not perfect but it still works pretty well. Thanks to all of you \o/

Wow. Amazing. I'm curious, any estimate as to how many WUs are done per day?

Also, will there be more work after the 57 Million are done?

Hi, Ben:

I agree with Charles Dennett's comment and have the same question.

I rough estimation, around 100,000-150,000 WUs a day. The last Wus were pretty quick.

We might have some more after the 57M batch, but I don't yet.

What's the progress on this batch? How many have we got through so far?

That is amazing news! By my most optimistic thinking, I thought we might be somewhere in the 30 Million range. Thank you for keeping the work flowing!

I'm not going to argue with the project admin, but my reckoning says we are chewing through work at a greater pace. If we continue at this rate, we'll be done with the 57 Million by the end of October. (But that's my reckoning, so we can all laugh at me when October comes and goes and there's still plenty of work. :-)

Regardless of when we exhaust the remaining supply, I'll leave the gates open to hopefully catch more work. I've found this a fun project to crunch!

You went through 40M over 57M WUs.

Just wondering how close we are to the end of the 57 million batch.

Check your event log. You can access it through the menus or use the shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+E).

Work units have been in very short supply for some time now, so you're likely just asking for tasks when the server is empty.

Something's wrong. Getting this in my boinc log file:

12-May-2015 06:12:05 [FiND@Home] Requesting new tasks for CPU
12-May-2015 06:12:16 [FiND@Home] Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
12-May-2015 06:12:16 [FiND@Home] Server can't open log file (../log_findah/scheduler.log)

There are NO units available, check the Server Status link on the home page. Too many users and not enough work means we all need backup projects.
