Ben, does that also mean new user accounts will have to be created? I ask because stats sites would need to retire this project as new stats would not be added at that point.

I've no idea. I can share the database with the new project when it comes up, but I have no idea when. I might be in an other country with no access to UCD network when the project will go live.

We are starting to move over to GridRepublic in Boston who will host backend servers for the FiND@H project. In theory this this should happen automatically in the background, so don't be concerned about error notices (you might see in the client log that the new URL is compute.gridrepublic.org).

ciao,
Ant

ciao,

I'm starting to see new jobs today, but all downloads so far have failed. They do have the warning about using an old url, which I know we can ignore, but there are more significant errors as well. Here's one log:

Yes - downloads successful and first task running using wrapper_26016_windows_intelx86.exe under Windows 7 x64.

Edit - I'm in UK time zone, and message board post timing is accurate. But current test machine host 105080 is showing

Last time contacted server 25 Nov 2016, 4:10:52 UTC

and none of the workunits today - failed or successful downloads - are showing on my account pages yet.

Maybe this was related to the above issue. I had 40 units download this morning, but all have the status "Aborted by Project". The boinc log shows lots of messages like 11/25/2016 8:48:28 AM | FiND@Home | Result 16_1941_23062_68498_1 is no longer usable.

I have 11 tasks downloaded, but when I click on Your Tasks, it only shows tasks from over a year ago.

Still using the old URL, though.

None of the new tasks completed yet.

I've reported a few completed tasks - perhaps a couple of dozen - and they seem to have validated, because my <--- total credit has gone up by ~600 today.

But my <--- RAC is still stuck at zero, although the computers themselves are seeing a RAC around 60.

The computers are also seeing HostIDs in the 30K range, instead of the 100K range shown on my hosts listing page: and the ID numbers I've been given all belong to somebody else.

I did try to look through GridRepublic.org to see if I could find them, but even after I'd pushed through the tumbleweed, I couldn't find anything there. I think the admins have still got a lot of reconnecting to do.

Several tasks now completed and reported, but Your Tasks still only shows a few tasks from last year.

If I try to go to the new home page (at gridrepublic), I get assorted error messages about whether I am logged in or not. Your Tasks not available at gridrepublic.

Entering this through a second computer still using the old URL.

Just about same here...

Gridrepublic NOTHING TO SHOW after logging in to the web page.
Using OLD url for 3 PC's sending/receiving work but not showing up in task list.

We are aggregating multiple sources of CPU capacity at GridRepublic, so what we do is essentially redirect your Find@Home scheduler requests to GridRepublic. This however means that the host records and results are on another server.

We do have limited synchronization implemented so that you get your credits back on this server. I just extended that to include RAC, it is going to start syncing in the next update (which happens once per hour) and will update as long as you get credits.

We may add some extra synchronization in the future, but as always with a new project being started, there are a lot more things to do on the server side than there is time for :)

Rytis, what project are we crunching?

And uh, how are you affiliated with the scientists that we've been helping all these years?

See Anthony's post above - http://findah.ucd.ie/forum_thread.php?id=267&postid=2711#2711

I'm one of the developers for GridRepublic. You may also know me from other BOINC and BOINC-related projects, for example, I was the guy who originally started PrimeGrid.

Done...

In Boinc Manager under projects the Work Done and Average work done stats for FiND have migrated to Fight Neglected Diseases, but I can't see any info on the tasks I'm running:

@FiND,
    No tasks to display

    State: All (0) · In progress (0) · Validation pending (0) · Validation inconclusive (0) · Valid (0) · Invalid (0) · Error (0)

@GridRepublic

I can only see my computer, no tasks, app details, info...

What research is being run using the ce12 1.05 app?
Will we be able to see and select the apps at GridRepublic?

@ Rytis,

When the dust settles and you finally catch your breath, could you look into the possibilities for replicating the Server Status Page back from the Grid Republic database, please?

Already working. I received the first task.
But do not see them on the website. No hosts. no tasks.
