On one of my machines around a 1,000 WUs came through with the deadline being 15 seconds after the WU was sent. As they were overdue before they finished downloading they were auto aborted with the error message "Not started by deadline - canceled".

Example: http://boinc.ucd.ie/fmah/workunit.php?wuid=103599481

But this page says "computational error" http://boinc.ucd.ie/fmah/result.php?resultid=105362811

That machine was working before but not now and the other machines are going ahead with no problems. Any ideas?

Hey,
I'm not sure but will look into to it. Let me know if it continues.
Thanks,
Kevin

Have you checked the clock on that system?

Projects pass the deadline to computers as a fixed UTC timestamp and all FMAH tasks have a 250 hour deadline. If the computer's clock is set more than 10 days + 10 hours ahead of your actual local time all of the unstarted tasks will be aborted on the first scheduler request after they were downloaded (the response to the request tells BOINC to cancel unstarted over-deadline tasks).

You were right, the clock on the computer was ahead by a month. I bumped it back but no new WUs have come through for any projects listed on that machine. I think I got on an auto naughty list. I turned it off and will try it again later. Thanks for the help :)

The internal clock changed itself again so me thinks it might be the clock on the motherboard. Plus that computer is having other issues as well so I am uninstalling Boinc and see if I can get it more stable before it decides to burn through more "late" WUs. Thanks for your input :)
