1) Message boards : News : FightNeglectedDiseases@Home server is up... and almost running (Message 1449)
Posted 1 Dec 2014 by Profile rebirther
Dear all,

The long awaited revamp of the FM@H server has finally happened - thanks to Benjamin. And thanks to the generous donations that we collected at the http://www.gofundme.com/1l0u2o website we were able to buy another SSD to build the FiND@H server on. This should be super-fast and will allow us to venture into different diseases beyond malaria, using the same 'whole genome docking' approach.

We should have the first work-units ready within a week or two.

Thanks again for your patience.

ciao,
Ant

2) Message boards : Number crunching : COMPUTATION ERROR!! (Message 1129)
Posted 18 Nov 2013 by Profile rebirther
I dont know if thats a scheduler problem but with some computation errors the RPC request/backlog raising up fast up to over 3h to get some new workunits. This is a big problem with these shorter times and running dry as fast as possible.
3) Message boards : Number crunching : BOINC's "Project is not highest priority" In Event Log Is Annoying (Message 1012)
Posted 4 Oct 2013 by Profile rebirther
I've scanned the BOINC forums and can't find a satisfactory answer that gives a rational explanation as to why BOINC would, for this project for instance, refuse to fetch work that is clearly available according to the Server Status page.

It's been 24 hours or more since I finished my first (& last) FMAH work. It doesn't seem a logical way of doing things to me, but someone who designed BOINC thinks it does.

Anyone's comments would be welcome. I would post over at the BOINC forums but whenever I post there I get rather stupid responses that assume I have a MSc in computer science.

You need to change the resource share of the projects too.
