The Grid Republic main page STILL doesn't list FiND as one of their projects

And now the Grid Republic FiND page is not found

Ant got royally screwed on this "migration"

Is that twit EVER gonna get the new site up and running?
3) Message boards : Number crunching : Help? I could not detach this project as long as there are no tasks to download (Message 2895)

Or you can leave it attached and start getting work again once Ant creates some

(Probably too late,but ...)

I've said it before and I'll say it again

IF Ant was paying for this migration,he wouldn't be paying for this migration

If FiND was paying for this migration, they would NOT be paying for this migration

(IF you know what I mean)

You could attach to Charity Engine and see that Fight Neglected Diseases project (which is the expansion of the FiND abbreviation!) is not running any work from Charity Engine - it is only Charity Engine that runs work from here.

Charity Engine does NOT list FiND as an associated project, I just checked

Call me paranoid, but much as I hate to say it, without knowing WHAT I'm crunching, no thanks

(as fare as the CE naming convention, that's utter bullshit for an umbrella site that runs multiple different projects)

OK

I read the post

BUT

FiND isn't even on the list of projects at Grid Repubnlic

And as long as the WUs bear a ce name, we really don't know WHAT they are do we?

Still setting No New Work

FiND is a worthy recipient of my cycles, but I DON'T like the lack of transparency here

The project preferences page on the OLD site still works

It works in the sense that it allows you to make changes. Those changes have no effect on the BOINC Manager setting for what fraction of the CPU time the FiND project can use, though.

Um, yeah, it does

I changed the Resource Share for FiND from the very low that I had it at during the hiatus, and the new share appeared in my BOINC Manage settings after an update

I'm now on No New WORK until the new Admins tell us exactly what we are processing, as I refuse to blindly crunch for a project I may or may not want to support

The new URL WILL NOT let me attach

That being said, until You tell us what the ce12 WUs do, I refuse to process them, and have set no new work

" so you have no idea what you are running in those cases."

In which case I refuse to run them, simple as that

What are these?

I signed up to crunch for FiND

Until there is some explanation as to what these are, I'm setting No NewWork, as I'm fairly picky aboutwhat projects I support

Yeah, started getting these this today

FiND is in the process of changing the organization who hosts them For about a week, there were no WUs available, then they started trickling out, now we are getting this error

I've tried deleting the current project and adding the one at the new URL in the logs, but have never successfully attached. It has created a user id for me on the new site, but that's it

The site itself appears to be still under construction

Actually, while BOINC Manager says you respond to Suspend commands, as Jacob says in another thread, you actually DONT!

Jacob

The newest version of FIND Vina DOES now support snooze and suspend

Ben recompiled it and released it in the last couple of days

"My only issue is that they appear to ignore resource share settings and hog the CPUs.."

This a known problem with this project's implementation of VINA

Ben posted in another thread that he has new code compiled with a new BOINC API.

Hopefully, that will resolve these issues

I'll check back from time to time

If you ever get Vina to play nice, I'll start throwing cpu cycles your way again
