1) Message boards : Number crunching : NO new work. (Message 2723)

Ant, its good to know that the work was a success.

It sounds that your continuing work would be hosted on something other than BOINC. If that is so then I will be saying goodbye.
I only want to manage one platform on my computer networks.

Best of luck with the funding and your next steps.

This problem with the VINA v1.02 continues and is pissing me off. When I do allow this project to see if the issue is fixed, MY PC will crash and reboot w/o warning. This is not happening when I am not running FIND.

Please fix your code to follow the rules.....

The suspend in Windows is still not working. I had hoped that when you contacted the VINA dev's that they would have helped you, but apparently it didn't happen.

I will let the WU's in process continue but I am going to have to stop any new WU's until you post that this is fixed.

Suspend and Snooze are critical to the community aspect of this program.

I have only seen 10-15 min WU's on my 2 PC's today. 25 credits each though.

Thanks, I see the same thing on a Vista Enterprise x86 box that I have tested this on. Also on 7.0.31.

If BOINC does the suspend/transfer to another programs WU's it is fine, the system doesn't show the FM@H in processes, so it looks like it is not responding to a manual SNOOZE or SUSPEND request.

These WU's are pretty quick so that the system always does get to other work at some point.

I was watching my BOINC and task manager and due to something I was going to do on my PC I suspended BOINC from the system tray icon. Boinc showed that all WU's were suspended, but my task manager still showed that vina_3.0_windows_intelx86.exe*32 was still occuping 8 processors and the RAM values were continually changing. I went in and suspended FM@H and the processes continued to occupy a processor. When I enabled all the WU's again from the system tray icon, it took 15 minutes for the Rosetta apps to gain control of 6 of 8 cores. In the BOINC queue, only Rosetta WU's were showing as processing and advancing their percentage.
Now I am seeing FM@H WU's showing that they are finished but they weren't running according to BOINC.
Something is buggy in your code.

Im running 7.0.31 on Win7 x64 using an i7 920 w/16GB RAM.

I'll look into it. It might be a few days before I get back to you as we are still having trouble with the current server and we're planning to move to a new one over the weekend.

Kevin, I must say I DO LIKE the admin interaction. This is what makes a project fun to do.
