|Your opinions about FiND@Home|
|I started to run SETI (and now FightMalaria@Home) in honour of my late Sister - C. Seema De Zwirek (1945-2002) who was fascinated with all things about space and enjoyed speculation about its exploration. She especially loved Star Trek. She was a health professional and would be proud to have her name associated with the good work of FightMalaria@Home. She died tragically young. |
We run SETI due to our human nature of curiosity and for our future, however it is FightMalaria@Home that attacks our present problems. Providing non-required computer time to FightMalaria@Home is part of "tikin olam", repairing the world and making it a better place.
Seema's name is engraved on the pyramid on the Itokawa asteroid. It was successfully placed there by the Hayabusa spacecraft. Her name is out there in space for eternity.
Her Memory Is a Blessing.
